Beverly Hills boutique law firm seeks an Accounting Coordinator with 3 years of experience, including electronic billing. Candidate will assist billers with full cycle billing, accounting, and bookkeeping, including pre-bills and month-end closing activities; process cash receipts, reconcile accounts, and monitor collections in Omega. He/she will research and respond to inquiries; verify backup documents; print and mail client bills; process new client matters; and provide accounting reports as requested. The Accounting Coordinator will also open new matters and perform basic conflict of interest checks under the supervision of the managing partner. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime flexibility is needed, including weekends and evenings.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong Word, Excel and Outlook experience is necessary; experience with Omega Legal billing system is strongly preferred, but not required. Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively will all levels of staff, and strong analytical, proofreading, and follow-up skills. The Billing Department Assistant must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply concepts.
