Legal Billing Coordinator

Law firm seeks a Billing Coordinator with a minimum of 3 years previous law firm billing (including eBilling) and  accounting experience.  Candidate will coordinate the billing process for assigned billing attorneys; review bill requests identifying inconsistencies, special handling requirements, and client-specific rules, and work through to resolution.  The Legal Billing Coordinator will perform regular follow up with attorneys to ensure bills are received in accounting and processed in accordance with monthly billing deadlines; communicate directly with clients to answer questions and providing data.  Additional duties include ad-hoc reporting and account analysis, and processing monthly eBilling for assigned matters.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The qualified Legal Billing Coordinator must have a strong understanding of electronic billing processes, including the creation of LEDES files and using third party eBilling submission systems - experience with Aderant or Elite is preferred. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook functions. A strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with client contacts is required.
