Conflicts Manager or Supervisor

West Los Angeles law firm seeks a Conflicts Manager or Conflicts Supervisor (depends upon level of experience) with 2 or more years of experience. Selected candidate will be responsible for administering the firm's conflict of interest systems and procedures for new clients and new hire attorneys. Duties of the Conflicts Manager include running conflict checks for new matters using the firm's conflicts database; determining potential conflicts of new hire attorneys; establishing and maintaining ethical walls; and assisting with obtaining potential conflict of interest waivers from outside entities. Candidate will also be responsible for monitoring new business intake forms for accuracy and completeness; maintaining and improving firm policies and procedures; and working with other departments to ensure proper data is entered into the conflicts system. The Conflicts Supervisor/Manager will train, supervise and mentor a staff of 2-3 employees. Salary depends on experience, range is $100K to 110K. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A bachelor's degree and large firm conflicts department experience is highly preferred. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate the new business intake process to all levels of attorneys and staff, and to prepare new business intake documentation and work product.
