Century City law firm seeks a Calendar Clerk with 5 years of experience for a long-term assignment expecting to last approximately 7 months.  Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Litigation Calendar via CompuLaw. Duties include opening, coding and distribution of all mail; reviewing all litigation documents delivered via FedEx, pouches, court returns, faxes, electronic deliveries via department email account; and ECF filing hand deliveries; to calculate deadline dates and input information into litigation calendar database. The Docket Clerk will generate calendar date reports for attorneys/paralegals, and maintain statistics in weekly calendaring meetings.  Other responsibilities include reviewing changes to all court rules and updating litigation calendar manual; researching calendar-related matters for Librarian and attorneys; and generation and development of specific calendar macros for importing into the calendar database.  The shift can start at 8:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., or 9:00 a.m. for a 7.5 hour day with an hour for lunch.

Firm prefers some college course work, but a junior docket candidate or IP docket professional with CompuLaw experience will be considered, and necessary training provided for the right candidate.  The Calendar Clerk must have thorough knowledge of state, federal and local rules of procedure, and experience working in a calendaring database (CompuLaw preferred).
