Job Description
Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid, 4 days onsite, after first 90 days fully onsite)
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience
Education: High School Diploma (required); College Degree (preferred)
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: M-F 9am - 5:30pm (ability to work overtime or travel, on short notice essential)
Pay: $90-100k/yr depending on experience
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorney and non-attorney timekeepers in the Labor & Employment department.
Job Description:
- Preparation of complex legal documents
- Discovery
- Analysis of wage and hour records and creation of damages analysis
- Deadline management
- Mid-level legal research activities
- Trial and subpoena preparation
- Other tasks related to the Employment Litigation and Labor & Employment practice area
Position Requirements:
- Paralegal certificate, National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) certification or other State specialty certificate is a plus!
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiar with Relativity or other legal technology databases
- Possess basic research skills to pull documents from online resources
- Intermediate knowledge of California Federal, State and Local Rules
- Have experience managing statistical information to create models and prepare cases for trial or arbitration
- Ability to train or coordinate paralegal work or case clerks is desired
- Excellent organizational skills to work efficiently and accurately in a deadline-driven environment
- Must present a positive, professional image with attorneys, staff and vendors as needed
