professional development experience to work in the Los Angeles office.  Recruiting duties include full cycle lateral attorney recruiting, creating job descriptions, coordinating with internal staff on selection, hiring, offers; working with outside recruiters; due-diligence pre-hire process including conflicts check and professional verifications; and onboarding.  Selected candidate will also assist with entry-level attorney hiring and law school outreach efforts, and work with firm-wide recruiters on additional positions as needed.

 Professional Development responsibilities encompass: hands-on attorney development, training, and retention, which may have remote supervision and direct reports.  Position responsibilities include collaboration to develop, plan, and implement firm-wide skills training; serve as a resource for attorney training opportunities; implement and monitor attorney mentoring program; support continuing legal education (CLE) administration, including monitoring bar admissions, continuing legal education compliance, and accredited provider status; and provide guidance with attorney performance evaluation processes firm-wide, including support in coordinating with attorneys on submitting and reviewing evaluations. 

 The Attorney Recruitment and Development Manager will support to attorneys and coordinate special projects as assigned; maintain recruiting and retention statistics; manage survey responses including NALP, Vault, and HRC's CEI; monitor budget; and supervise assigned employees.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the availability to work outside of business hours and travel occasionally.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent lateral associate and partner hiring experience is required.  The Recruiting and Development Manager must have advanced MS Office Suite skills, a strong working knowledge of relational databases, and outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.  Selected candidate will work effectively in a team environment, display analytical thinking and problem solving abilities, and utilize good judgement, discretion, and remain adaptive.
