Century City law firm seeks a Legal Billing and Collections Specialist with 5 years of law firm experience.  Selected candidate will handle client billing and collection activities for assigned attorneys;  review and edit pre-bills including write-offs, time or cost transfers, and time entry narrative; prepare and print final client billing and review for accuracy prior to electronic submission or mailing; prepare and submit electronic invoices to clients via eBilling platforms and verify successful submission; identify billing discrepancies and refer to accounting management and billing attorneys; monitor payment of client accounts receivable, initiate collection efforts as appropriate, and proactively follow-up on outstanding invoices.  Additional duties include pulling back-up costs; preparing and distributing billing and other ad hoc reports; maintaining billing files and retrieving backup for department, attorneys, and audits; assisting with monthly and year-end closing reporting; corresponding with clients, attorneys, and staff; and special projects. 

The Legal Billing and Collection Specialist must have an associate’s degree, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.  Qualified candidate must be proficient in MS Office and Aderant or Elite Enterprise.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
