Position: Business Development & Events Specialist
Location: Orange County, CA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Pay: $75,000 to $85,000 annually (Exempt)
Experience: 1-year experience working in a law firm.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and experience in event coordination are required.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (37.5 hour week, 7.5/hour day- must be available for occasional OT)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Business Development & Events Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Support two internal Event Planners as well as the firm Director of Brand Management and Operations.
- Responsibilities include coordinating invitations (internal and external), set up registration pages, and manage RSVP lists.
- Assisting with the execution of firm-hosted business development events (virtual/in-person) and internal firm trainings.
- Provide onsite assistance at local events to greet attendees, distribute name badges and promotional merchandise and confirm meeting rooms have been set/configured as planned.
- Monitoring overall logistics throughout events.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal IT staff on logistics; drafting content for invitations/save-the-dates and registration pages.
- Entering project requests into the design project tracker and coordinating between design team and event requestor.
- Tracking event spending against approved budget.
- Reconciling meeting/hotel bills and personal account charges; and processing meeting expenses utilizing proper general ledger codes.
- Supporting the distribution of sporting and other tickets for business development purposes, track attendees for each event.
- Providing daily updates to firm Event Planners of East/West Coast events; troubleshoot ticket-related issues.
- Track special requests and one-off purchases.
- Coordinating online portals for ticket-related accounts; and coordinating sale of unused tickets; coordinating regular firm swag purchasing and overseeing oversee online store (posting, shipping, and inventory management), coordinating with design team on logo application, per firm brand standards.
Position Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized, extremely responsive, customer service-oriented, technologically savvy with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of CRM, e-marketing, webinar platforms, and other marketing technology software a plus.
