Position: Business Development Analyst
Location: Palo Alto or Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Fully onsite to start, then 1 day remote)
Pay: $90,000 to $105,000 annually
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; JD or Master's is a plus.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Support partners preparing targeted presentations (pitch books, short form brochures, deal sheets).
- Identify relevant transactional or regulatory precedents by industry, geography and type of transaction/matter
- Customize client materials.
- Complete production aspects (editing, fact checking, proofreading, assembling) to ensure materials are delivered.
- Update attorney biographies (print, digital).
- Maintain complete record of all pitches, meetings, and outreach in firm CRM (Client Relationship Management) system.
- Assist with submissions to league tables, directories, guides and surveys.
- Work closely with members of the Digital and Communications teams in website and social media posts.
- Coordinate competitive intelligence research to update lawyers on market trends.
- Coordinate content aspects of marketing conferences, sponsorship opportunities and other events within the legal/business community.
- Plan, provide direction and support for events and conference sponsorships, (invitation list development, mailing, tracking RSVPs, organizing registration, preparing name tags, preparing materials, reserving necessary equipment/conference rooms).
- Coordinate efforts with the Communications and Digital Marketing teams to support practice visibility (all communications, social media, maintaining practice details, lawyer bios, website).
Position Requirements:
- Understanding of transactional, regulatory and litigation terminology and processes is required.
- Must have excellent analytical, organizational, communication, research, and grammatical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to handle time-sensitive requests across time zones with a clear understanding of priorities.
- Experience with communication at the Partner/Executive level.
- Proficiency in standard spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are pluses).
- Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
