Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Century City, CA or Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Pay: $100k-$110k/yr (Depending on experience)
Experience: 5+ years experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am to 5:30pm

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic law firm client!

Job Description:
  • Lead the formal Requests for Proposals (RFP) process, including writing and producing tailored responses, working directly with attorneys on strategy and approach to submissions, and coordinating with administrative teams relevant to projects (e.g., finance and accounting, DEI, and pro bono).
  • Oversee and manage workflow for Business Development Coordinator and Marketing Assistant handling development of compelling pitch materials for day-to-day business development needs as well as client presentations.
  • Support business and client development research needs across the firm, including working with firm Research Services and attorneys to synthesize market research and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Oversee the completion of client surveys, including those involving DEI, technology and other ad hoc requests for firm information.
  • Work with the Senior Manager of Business Development to provide one-on-one support to individual attorneys with respect to client development efforts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Assist with implementing business development aspects of annual strategic plans for each legal service area.
  • Track pitch and proposal outcomes and work with the Business Development team to report on business development statistics and trends.
Position Requirements:
  • Prior involvement in developing RFP responses and proposal materials is a must.
  • Must be available for occasional travel to other firm offices as needed.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Balance of strong client-service orientation and persuasive executive presence required.
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables at once.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Effective delegation and team management skills.
  • Strong technical skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Familiarity with Qorus, Foundation and BDP a plus
