Law firm seeks a Chief Financial Officer with 10 years of senior-level financial experience to oversee the financial operations of the firm, working closely with management teams and executives to provide leadership in financial matters. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, billing, collections, taxes, payroll, reporting, analysis, and budgeting; and advising on financial issues such as compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and providing input into the strategic direction.

The CFO will also manage the firm's financial systems; develop financial analyses and benchmarks relating to profitability; provide guidance on rate structures and staffing arrangements; establish and maintain appropriate internal controls, monitor cash flow and cash management, and identify and implement cost control initiatives; manage banking relationships and other external parties with whom financial information is exchanged; develop, document, communicate, and enforce policies and procedures relating to all financial functions and firm expense guidelines. The CFO will ensure the timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax reports and ERISA reports, as well as respond to financial surveys and insurance applications, and supervise/mentor a team.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


The qualified Chief Financial Officer will be a CPA or have a MBA with Finance emphasis; expert level knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles; and a solid understanding of current technologies related to financial systems, including a proven track record of using technology-based solutions to streamline manual processes and improve access to information.  This position requires the ability to present large quantities of data in a concise manner. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced business environment are required.  Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
