Position:Â Client Finance LiaisonÂ
Location:Â Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Onsite for 90 days, 1 day/week onsite)Â
Pay: $90,000 to $100,000 annuallyÂ
Experience:Â 3+ years of legal billing or law firm accounts receivable operations experience to serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all billing and payment matters, ensure timely payment and prevent aging issues.Â
Education:Â Bachelor's degree required.Â
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Â
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pmÂ

Job Description:Â Â Â
- Onboard new clients within 48 hours of engagement, introducing firm billing processes, payment methods, and establishing liaison relationship.Â
- Serve as single point of contact for client billing and payment inquiries, ensuring timely/accurate responses.Â
- Conduct proactive check-ins with clients to address questions, confirm invoice receipt, and facilitate payment.Â
- Build professional relationships with client finance contacts to encourage open communication and prompt issue resolution.Â
- Monitor client payment patterns and proactively address potential aging issues before accounts reach 90+ days.Â
- Document all client interactions in firm systems with detailed notes on discussions, commitments, and follow-up requirements.Â
- Coordinate with internal teams on invoice questions, rate inquiries, timekeeper detail requests, and narrative adjustments.Â
- Work with internal teams on payment application, wire transfer instructions, credit balance inquiries, and trust accounting matters.Â
- Escalate substantive issues (fee disputes, write-off requests, payment plan needs) with management with full context and recommended approach.Â
- Coordinate with internal team members on hand-off protocols when accounts require formal collection efforts.Â
- Maintain accurate records of client assignments, contact schedules, and communication history in firm systems.Â
- Review key performance metrics including contact completion rates, payment timing, aging prevention, and client responsiveness.Â
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to onboarding protocols/communication cadences.Â
- Prepare reports on portfolio health, aging trends, and client payment patterns.Â
- Participate in team meetings to share best practices, discuss challenging accounts, and ensure consistency across liaisons.Â
- Comply with all firm confidentiality, conflicts, and ethical requirements.Â
Position Requirements:Â Â Â
- Must have demonstrated success managing multiple client relationships simultaneously. Proficiency with financial systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office is needed. Â
- Elite 3E experience is a plus. Â
- Must have the ability to understand legal billing concepts including contingency arrangements, alternative fee structures, and trust accounting. Â
- Experience working in international/multi-office professional services environment, and prior collections, accounts receivable (A/R), or revenue cycle experience is a plus. Â
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport and credibility with sophisticated clients. Â
- Ability and resourcefulness in navigating complex organizational structures to resolve issues.Â
- Professional demeanor with ability to remain calm and diplomatic during challenging conversations. Â
- Bilingual capabilities is also a plus.Â
