Position: Client Relationship Manager 

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) 

Pay: $150,000 to $162,000 annually (Exempt) 

Experience: 7+ years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, (Business Administration or similar); MBA, JD, or other relevant advanced degree is preferred. 

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire  

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm 

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to join our dynamic law firm client!    

Job Description:   
  • Managing content creation for client team meetings, (highlighting milestones/successes, improved efficiencies, DEI projects, pro bono projects). 
  • Lead creation of annual client team strategic plans. 
  • Analyze industry trends to identify potential client needs. 
  • Strategically evaluate and identify needs, resources, and areas of opportunities for institutional clients. 
  • Collaborate with DEI leaders to advance objectives, achieve goals, and support diverse timekeepers in engaging with clients. 
  • Assist relationship partners and client leadership with strategic opportunities and ad hoc projects to strengthen client relationship.  
  • Build deep, direct relationships with client legal business/operations teams while ensuring compliance with outside counsel guidelines (OCG) related to timekeeping, rate-setting, billing, conflicts. 
  • Review and analyze financial data relating to the client and its work streams. 
  • Oversee internal processes related to alternative fee arrangement negotiation, (gathering and analyzing matter and project data).  
  • Work with client leadership and financial operations team to maximize efficiency/profitability on alternative fee arrangements and work with client leadership to customize the data presented to provide context, explanation, and action items to meet strategic goals.  
  • Lead strategic business development planning, consultation, and execution; Support lawyers in identifying and responding to opportunities for new work.  
  • Coordinate/plan client engagement and business development events (development, marketing, vendor management, and execution).   
  • Drive service innovation for all stakeholders to deliver service more efficiently, effectively, and profitably. 
  • Partner with Project Managers, Practice Managers, and other stakeholders to share best practices, cross-selling opportunities, and business development opportunities. 

Position Requirements:     
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Project, Visio and OneNote is required.
  • Proficiency with legal technology tools (matter management, document automation, and document review software, or similar) is required.  
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, PMP or similar certification preferred (or ability to demonstrate comparable experience/training in project management). 
  • Demonstrated understanding of alternative fee arrangements in the service industry (understanding of law firm pricing models and economics a plus). 
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legal practice areas and industries a plus.  
  • Must have high attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines.
