Job Description


Law firm seeks a Compensation and Benefits Manager with 5 years of experience to manage the annual compensation and employee benefits review process.  Manager will partner with the HR team to ensure alignment of comp/benefits processes; introduce, maintain and optimize related programs; price and benchmark compensation for positions; conduct testing and compliance activities related to compensation; lead initiatives to improve Compensation Management processes; research and analyze employee comp/benefits concerns; collaborate with HR team to align compensation programs, decisions and processes with performance management activities; and review compensation information in support of recruiting efforts.  Benefits duties include managing Sr. Benefits Administrator and all department activities; liaising with department to develop appropriate benefits strategy; and ensure benefits administration compliance.  Other duties include writing and maintaining firm policies; providing backup support for firm retirement plan administration; gather data regarding industry surveys and outside counsel guidelines; assist in data management activities and HRIS systems to support compensation and benefits related practices; and manage talent capital projects.

Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Position is hybrid, 1 - 3 days onsite

Job Requirements


Knowledge of HRIS (Workday preferred) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required.  Must have a high school diploma (or GED), a bachelors degree in Human Resources and HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP are highly desired.  Candidate will have advanced knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and human resources best practices pertaining to compensation and benefits procedures and be highly proficient in compensation management principles.  Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of staff while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision is a must.
