Job Description


Position: Conflicts Analyst 

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA  (hybrid, 5 days/week onsite to start and then 1 day/week onsite after training)

Pay: $67,000 to $75,000 annually 

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience to assist the Conflicts Manager and Assistant Conflicts Managers in administering firm conflict of interest systems and procedures to clear new business/hires.

Education: A Bachelor's degree and experience with a large law firm, especially in a conflict or paralegal capacity are highly preferred. 

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire  

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (must be available for rotating on-call weekend hours as needed)

Job Description:   
  • Utilizing conflicts management software, reviewing new business intake forms for accuracy, and finalizing requests. 
  • Reviewing and researching party relationships for new matters, including parent company and affiliate research.  
  • Following-up with attorneys for additional information obtaining necessary to clear lateral hires and open new matters.  
  • Regularly liaising with attorneys to report on conflict checks.  
  • Maintaining and updating the conflicts database.  
  • Updating/utilizing database to formulate search queries and generate reports regarding party relationships/family tree history.  
  • Liaising with attorneys to report conflict checks/open new matters.
  • Providing detailed reports to attorneys/staff.  
  • Candidate will also provide administrative support to the Global Head of Conflicts with special projects. 

Position Requirements:     
  • Strong attention to detail with superior organizational and communication skills.  
  • Advanced writing and research abilities, including the ability to prioritize and complete assignments under tight deadlines.  
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.  
  • Experience legal conflicts and related conflict management software desired.
