Corporate Legal Secretary

Large law firm seeks a Corporate Legal Secretary with 1 year of related experience to support a Tax and Wealth Planning practice. Sharp entry-level candidates with proven ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided. Salary will be adjusted accordingly. Candidate will support four associates and provide comprehensive administrative and practice support; review legal documents; keep track of meeting information, deadlines and appointments; arrange travel; manage expense reimbursement requests; provide billing support through time entry and associated tasks; and create and maintain client files and practice-specific documents and binders. Selected Corporate Legal Secretary will also assist other department secretaries in a team environment. The hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for a 37.5 hour week.
Candidate must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook features skills; experience using WorkSite/FileSite or other document management system, and Chrome River or similar is a plus. Knowledge of tax and wealth documents is also a plus. Experience prioritizing work and managing workflow; and the ability to compose, edit and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports is required. The Corporate Legal Secretary must have strong proofreading skills, attention to detail, a high level of organization, and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
