Job Description
Location: Century City, CA (Fully onsite the first 60 days then hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Pay: $80,000 to $90,000 annually
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a law firm to be responsible for ensuring deadlines, court dates, filing requirements, and legal processes are tracked and fulfilled.
Education: Associate’s degree or higher is required; paralegal or legal assistant certification preferred.

Schedule: Day Shift, 9am - 5:30pm Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Docket Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client! Job Description:
- Ensure important deadlines (court dates, filing deadlines, discovery deadlines) are accurately tracked in CompuLaw.
- Assist with timely filing of documents with courts, monitor due dates, and confirm receipt of filings.
- Oversee and maintain firm legal calendar, ensuring all dates are correctly entered, updated, and tracked.
- Monitor department email to ensure court filings are tracked.
- Generate reminders for attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants for upcoming deadlines, hearings, and filings; ensure timely notifications are sent.
- Utilize docketing system to create and manage a reminder system that notifies team of upcoming deadlines/required actions.
- Update case management system with information, deadlines, and updates.
- Track court filings, motions, hearings, and significant case events to ensure scheduling and timely completion.
- Organize and track legal documents to ensure all case-related items are filed.
- Schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and case-related events.
- Clarify filing requirements, court rules, and legal deadlines, to ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations.
- Generate and provide regarding case status, upcoming deadlines, and potential risks.
- Ensure all documents, emails, and communications related to deadlines are properly logged and documented.
- Provide docketing and administrative support to litigation teams (organizing case files, assisting with discovery requests, maintaining related documents).
- Ensure all case documents are properly archived, and case information is accurately stored.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and case management systems, and strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and case management software is needed.
- Must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage a team and provide leadership.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
