Job Description

Large Los Angeles Law firm has an opening for a Docket and Calendar Clerk with 2 years of experience.  The Calendar Clerk’s primary responsibilities include analyzing and reviewing all incoming mail and documents for relevant court dates and entering same into the docketing database; reviewing docket entries for consistency and accuracy; and processing matter intakes. 

Position is hybrid and may be base out of Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, San Diego, Del Mar, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Dallas, Chicago or DC.

Job Requirements

The qualified Docket Clerk will have strong knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and experience using CompuLaw or similar automated system. Candidate must be detail-oriented; have the ability to research various court websites and online resources; be able to respond articulately to department emails and phone inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding matter calendars and court procedures; and be able to multi-task, work independently, and take initiative in a very busy department. The Docket and Calendar Clerk must have computer knowledge including Word, Excel, and Outlook and type 45 wpm. Knowledge of court rules in TX, IL, DC, VI, MD is highly preferred.
