Help Desk Specialist
Law firm seeks a Help Desk Specialist with 2 years of experience in a legal or corporate setting to provide internal and remote assistance to approximately 50 users. Responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing, resolving, tracking, and escalating end user help requests; communicating with end users by providing email help desk tips; handling audio/visual setups and checkout of laptops and other equipment; coordinating communications and support response during critical risk, slowdown, and outage scenarios; training staff on computer systems, software, and phone system; and support desktop hardware and peripherals; providing in-person deskside support to end users; and will maintain up-to-date technical development to stay current with the latest technologies and industry applications. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with availability for overtime and weekend needs.
The qualified Information Technology Help Desk Specialist will have outstanding customer service skills, with specific ability to calm frustrated end users, and deliver training effectively to users of varying skill levels. Candidate must have experience with application management including testing, configuration, updates, and deployment; understanding of remote access technologies; and experience with Windows 7 and legal applications such as Worldox, Concordance, and CompuLaw; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Crystal Reports, Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, and VMware desktops.
