Position: IT Support Engineer
Location: New York City, NY
Pay: $110,000 to $150,000 annually (non-exempt)
Experience:
- International law firm experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience supporting technology in a large law firm to work closely with various departments, including Security, Networking, Systems, Applications, and Management and ensure seamless operation and support across the firm and offer in-person and remote support via phone and email for all authorized technology and services.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Receive and prioritize escalated issues from IT Support Specialist I and IT Support Specialist II support teams.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents are followed through to resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all incidents and resolutions for future reference and reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, aiding in technical development.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support and cybersecurity.
- Periodically travel to different office locations to provide deskside support to end users.
- Periodically respond to after-hour calls within firm-defined service levels.
- Periodically work with IT team members on testing software applications, firm deployed images, and updating technical documentation.
- Submit new knowledge-based articles, when appropriate.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, following detailed instructions and meeting established deadlines.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to always interact effectively with a diverse range of customers in a calm, professional manner.
- Perform root-cause analysis for any disruption to service availability and implement preventative measures.
- Expert proficiency in MS Office 2021/365 suite, particularly Word.
- Expert Proficiency supporting Citrix, including performance and connectivity issues.
- Expert Proficiency with commonly used legal applications (document management systems, legal template and numbering software, document comparison software, timekeeping software, and Adobe Acrobat Professional).
- Expert proficiency in support of Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android operating systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications and legal-specific software packages.
- Team player with a strong sense of customer service and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
