Job Description
Position: Intake Specialist
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (5 days in office for one month, then 1 day in office)
Pay: $65,000 to $70,000 annually
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a large firm environment.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 9am-5pm (35-hour week)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking an Intake Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Set up and maintain master files for matters and clients.
- Ensure all required documentation is received for new matters and maintain log of items needed.
- Follow up with attorneys and staff to obtain missing items.
- Review engagement letters and fee arrangements and ensure correct rates are assigned to matters and all required provisions are present.
- Other duties include routinely generating reports of client, matter and timekeeper information for the CFO, COO, partners, and firm-wide distribution, handling edits for costs and resolving cost errors and assist with other projects as identified.
Position Requirements:
- Must be detail oriented.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be highly organized and possess exceptional follow up skills.
- Requires advanced knowledge of Excel 2007 (including tables, pivot tables and charts, basic functions including vertical lookup and nested IF statements, conditional formatting, Microsoft Query).
- Working knowledge of Word and knowledge of Access a plus.
