Job Description
Law firm seeks an IP Specialist with 3 years of experience as a patent prosecution specialist to support life sciences IP attorneys and patent agents. Specialist will manage patent prosecution dockets; assist in the preparation and filing of US/PCT/foreign patent applications and official correspondence including application data sheets, declarations, powers of attorney, assignments, IDSs, responses to office actions, amendments, issue fee payments and extensions); report documentation to clients; maintain client files, enter time and submit expense reports and vendor invoices.
Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime flexibility needed.

Job Requirements
A Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); experience in First to File and FoundationIP is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail are required. Candidates will have the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines. This position will have an annual billable hours requirement.
