Position: Legal Administrative Assistant

Location: West Los Angeles, CA (Onsite; transition to hybrid (1 day remote) after training)

Pay: $90,000 to $97,500 annually

Experience: Real estate transactional experience; familiarity with Multifamily and Office CRE operations.

Education: Legal assistant experience in real estate and CA Notary are desired.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic law firm client!

Job Description:
  • Direct and maintain the insurance portfolio and assisting with general operations of over thousand multifamily units and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial office space.
  • Assist with new and ongoing property insurance claims and renewals of policies.
  • Coordinate lender inspections for individual properties; assist in setting up DBAs; renewals of DBAs and fictitious names; assists Office Manager in any duties related to refinancing, sales and acquisitions; transfer utilities, notify vendors; and annual compliance packages for lenders.
  • Under the direction of the Commercial Property Supervisor –assist in the “remote” day-to-day operations of the 500,000+ sq ft commercial portfolio with locations in California and Texas to include preventive maintenance, responding to work orders, tracking lease compliance, coordinating Tenant Improvements; supervise roving building engineers; assist with annual CAM reconciliations.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws relating to Fair Housing; manage, draft, edit commercial lease agreements; handle insurance claims and monitor lawsuit progress.
  • Point person for the annual Holiday Card contest from inception to print; order holiday gifts for commercial tenant; and support desk reception as needed.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Yardi platforms (Yardi Voyager preferred).
  • Must be detail-oriented, have exceptional organizational skills in handling/filing of data, (paper and electronic).
  • Possess a positive attitude, professionalism, and a high level of enthusiasm.
