Job Description:
- Analyzing incoming data from sources and providing detailed reports to case teams.
- Reviewing and outlining depositions, indexes, and summarizing documents.
- Performing automated support tasks to prepare, organize, index, develop and manage exhibits, evidence and data relevant to cases.
- Using state and federal electronic filing systems/eFiling.
- Collecting case materials (evidence, exhibits, motions and subpoenas).
- Rendering technical and analytical assistance to support attorney litigation needs, including document review (Relativity), research into case law, drafting of motions and proposed orders and eFiling.
- Consulting with attorneys and case teams to establish workflows supporting efficient document reviews.
- Assisting litigation teams on legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate investigatory or litigation decisions, trial preparation and trial presentation.
- Analyzing work products and creating document productions using database platforms and performing quality control reviews and revising/improving documents.
- Tracking, storing, and organizing data following proper chain of custody protocols.
- Tracking data, creating graphs, and completing calculations using Microsoft Excel.
- Applying basic knowledge of civil and criminal procedures, court requirements, and district practices to implement applications needed for criminal cases and matters.
- Assisting the attorney team in preparation for all procedures of trial.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent time management and project management skills are required including the ability to set and manage multiple priorities and make appropriate judgments.
- Detail-oriented, excellent oral and written communication and follow-up skills are crucial (spelling, grammar usage, writing skills).
- A high level of energy and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-starter, highly organized, and a team player.
