Position: Litigation Paralegal  

Location: Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite) 

Pay: $100,000 to $125,000 annually 

Experience: 7+ years of experience to be part of the Litigation & Trial Practice group.  

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; paralegal certificate is highly preferred.  

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire  

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm 

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic law firm client!    

Job Description:   
  • Analyzing incoming data from sources and providing detailed reports to case teams.
  • Reviewing and outlining depositions, indexes, and summarizing documents.
  • Performing automated support tasks to prepare, organize, index, develop and manage exhibits, evidence and data relevant to cases.
  • Using state and federal electronic filing systems/eFiling.
  • Collecting case materials (evidence, exhibits, motions and subpoenas).
  • Rendering technical and analytical assistance to support attorney litigation needs, including document review (Relativity), research into case law, drafting of motions and proposed orders and eFiling.
  • Consulting with attorneys and case teams to establish workflows supporting efficient document reviews.
  • Assisting litigation teams on legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate investigatory or litigation decisions, trial preparation and trial presentation.
  • Analyzing work products and creating document productions using database platforms and performing quality control reviews and revising/improving documents.
  • Tracking, storing, and organizing data following proper chain of custody protocols.
  • Tracking data, creating graphs, and completing calculations using Microsoft Excel.
  • Applying basic knowledge of civil and criminal procedures, court requirements, and district practices to implement applications needed for criminal cases and matters.
  • Assisting the attorney team in preparation for all procedures of trial.

Position Requirements:     
  • Excellent time management and project management skills are required including the ability to set and manage multiple priorities and make appropriate judgments.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent oral and written communication and follow-up skills are crucial (spelling, grammar usage, writing skills).
  • A high level of energy and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, and a team player.
