Job Description
Position: Litigation Secretary
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)
Pay: $80,000 to $93,000 annually
Experience: 10+ years of experience to support multiple attorney practice areas with extensive knowledge of state and federal judicial systems, and agency procedures in labor & employment law.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm (One-hour lunch)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Secretary to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Candidate will be responsible for coordinating attorney support in a team support/pool setting as part of the Attorney Resource Team (ART) and other corporate departments (calendar and billing teams).
- Complete submissions to ART through thorough instructions and documentation ensuring duplicate requests are not submitted.
- Verifying court/other deadlines and alerting attorneys; creating and updating litigation matters in Virtual Binder.
- Providing document processing support creating (TOCs) and (TOAs).
- Coordinating and finalizing documents for filing/eFiling with courts and service.
- File maintenance in NetDocuments; creating and submitting new client matters. Responsibilities also include coordinating transcription of audio recordings.
- Coordinating printing and assembling of documents with office services.
- Maintaining attorney contact lists through Outlook and InterAction.
- Submission of daily task log identifying projects and assignments.
- Reviewing and revising client pre-bills.
Position Requirements:
- Must have extensive knowledge of court rules and eFiling/ECF procedures.
- Advanced knowledge and proven expertise using Best Authority to produce TOC and TOA.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and Adobe and experience with document management systems, NetDocuments preferred.
- Must have excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external parties.
