Job Description
Position: Litigation Secretary
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Pay: $33-$35/hr (Depending on experience)
Experience: 7+ years of experience to support 4-5 attorneys
Education: High school diploma or GED
Type: Full-time; Temporary
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm (occasional OT)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Secretary to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Drafting/revising complex legal documents and correspondence including pleadings, correspondence and memoranda.
- Correctly formatting court pleadings for filing/eFiling with State and Federal courts according to applicable court rules including the auto-generation of tables of authorities (TOAs) and tables of contents (TOCs).
- Researching state and federal rules of court.
- Assisting with preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, trials and other litigation proceedings.
- Providing administrative support to attorneys with time entry and file management.
- Other duties include providing relief coverage to other legal secretaries.
Position Requirements:
- Experience in MS Office (Word – advanced functions in styles, TOA/TOC, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of docket and attorney time entry program.
- Accurate spelling and grammar skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Trial prep experience is a plus.
