Position: Litigation Secretary
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Pay: $78,000 to $115,000 annually
Experience: 6+ years of experience to support litigation attorneys and paralegals in the Business Trial Practice- Insurance Practice Group with all aspects of cases from initial filing through trial and appeal.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree or some college is preferred.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 9:00am to 5:30pm (Occasional OT may be needed)

Job Description:
- Assist with preparing and filing/eFiling legal documents with federal, state, and appellate court rules, calendar/travel management, case management, and billing/expense support.
- Duties include formatting, editing, and managing legal documents, pleadings and discovery.
- Scheduling/coordinating depositions, court dates, filing deadlines, calendars, appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, and related planning.
- Maintaining calendar with accurate court and filing deadlines.
- Conduct conflict checks and handle new matters, including preparing engagement letters and managing client and case documents.
- Preparing and filing official correspondence and communicating regularly with the team.
- Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritization and flexibility and collaboration with firm personnel at all levels.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, video conference software (Zoom/Teams).
- Experience working with a document management system are needed.
- Experience with document productions and eDiscovery is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Superior, State, Appellate, and Federal Courts rules and trial procedures are needed.
- Possess excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
