Position: Litigation Secretary
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Pay: $77,000 to $93,000 annually
Experience: 5+ years of large law firm experience to provide comprehensive support to four to five commercial litigation practice attorneys.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 9:00am to 5:30pm
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Secretary to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Responsible for preparing, editing, and formatting complex legal documents/correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, agreements and other legal documents under time-sensitive deadlines.
- File court documents with state and federal courts (electronically/eFiling and), arrange service of documents, telephone communications (clients/business contacts).
- Inputting attorney time, file/contact maintenance, coordinate travel, prepare expense reimbursement forms, process/edit prebills and administrative support.
- Convert paper and electronic files to PDF.
- Opening new client matter files; organizing trial binders/exhibits.
- Arranging conference calls.
- Tracking/confirming litigation deadlines and docketing correctly.
- Maintaining attorney CLE records.
Position Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with timekeeping programs and ability to perform research is essential.
- Experience with Aderant, Chrome River, NetDocs, Kofax Power PDF, and NBI is preferred.
- Candidate must have a high attention to detail with sensitivity to confidential materials, excellent communication abilities, and strong transcription, grammar, and organizational skills.
- An advanced understanding of court rules to ensure compliance with assigned judge's Individual Rules is needed.
