Los Angeles law firm seeks a Litigation secretary with 5 years of experience, including bankruptcy.  This position supports four litigation and bankruptcy attorneys.  Secretary will assist with case file maintenance by copying, indexing, labeling, and organizing large amounts of data in paper and electronic formats; preparation of draft pleadings, memos, and correspondence; typing, editing, and proofread briefs (including redlining, comparing documents, advanced formatting, TOA and TOC creation, and manipulation); gathering and organizing relevant material for use in legal proceedings; electronic filing and service of documents in bankruptcy cases and other jurisdictions; docketing and maintenance of calendars; and communicate with courts, clients, and attorneys.  Candidate will manage workflow and deadlines by prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The qualified Litigation/Bankruptcy Legal Secretary must have a strong knowledge of court filing rules including electronic filings (particularly bankruptcy court, USDC, and LASC).  Selected candidate must have familiarity with Best Case, Relativity, CaseHomePage, LexisNexis and One Legal websites, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint functions.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling, grammar, and proofreading ability are required.
