Position: Litigation Secretary
Location: Glendale, CA (Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote after 90 days)
Pay: $76,000 to $87,500 annually
Experience: 5+ years of experience in supporting an attorney with a busy medical malpractice practice.
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm (37.5-hour week, must be available for occasional OT)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Secretary to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Responsible for preparing, drafting, and coordinating legal documents for filing (eFiling)/service with various courts (State and Federal), in various jurisdictions.
- Handling telephone calls and conference calls to/from attorneys, clients, and staff; processing mail.
- Preparing and processing new client matter reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
- Scheduling and coordinating conferences, meetings, and appointments; coordinating travel arrangements; managing workflow.
- Providing assistance to others including visitors, paralegals, summer associates, and attorneys during secretarial absences; and accepting overflow work.
Position Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word including TOA and TOC, Excel, and Outlook); CaseLink experience is a plus.
- Will have excellent communication, solid proofreading skills, and strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Candidate will be initially onsite for the first 90 days and then will transition to a hybrid environment.
