Job Description

Large law firm seeks a Litigation Secretary with 5 years of experience to support Attorneys (including Partners).  Responsibilities include drafting letters, spreadsheets, presentations, and shells/templates (exhibits, declarations, proposed orders), including complex document formatting (creating tables of authorities); filing preparation for appellate courts, district courts, and various state courts through attorney service and eFiling portals; trial preparation; reviewing client bills; organizing Attorney emails; and coordinating Attorney travel.  Secretary will also assist with overflow and special projects and contribute to office-wide team objectives.

The hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime flexibility needed

Position is hybrid, 3 days onsite
 

Job Requirements

Successful candidate must possess the ability to work effectively with various courts, agencies, and firm departments and offices; transactional work is a plus.  MS Office Suite Intermediate features skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. Experience in Adobe, Forms Workflow, Workshare Compare and Best Authority preferred.  Firm will provide training on software applications. Must have comprehensive knowledge of legal office procedures and demonstrate initiative, high attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
