Law firm seeks a Senior Litigation/Executive Secretary with three years of experience, public/municipal law practice area preferred. Selected candidate will draft, review and revise legal documents including correspondence and memoranda, pleadings, PowerPoint presentations, and budgets; format court pleadings according to court rules and generate tables of authorities (TOA) and tables of contents (TOC); file documents with courts and administrative bodies, including electronic filing (eFiling); and arrange for service of pleadings and subpoenas. Other duties include scheduling and preparing for meetings, teleconferences, conferences, and travel; organizing documents and preparing binders and files; assist with special projects; maintain office and attorney calendars in Outlook; enter time and expenses; and answer phones. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with overtime availability needed.
A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with iManage, time and billing systems, and Adobe Professional are preferred. Qualified candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of rules of local, municipal, state and federal court rules of procedure; and understand complex municipal law documents, including staff reports, resolutions, ordinances, agendas and notices. This position requires outstanding customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
