Marketing and Practice Development Coordinator

Large law firm seeks a Marketing Coordinator with 2 years of experience in a marketing or business development (or related) role in a professional services environment (legal industry is preferred). The position will work closely with attorneys and marketing staff across all offices. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for updating the firm’s marketing collateral, including practice area descriptions, brochures, and case lists; updating and maintaining the firm’s website, with a special focus on attorney biographies; and coordinating with attorneys to prepare award nominations and submissions to legal ranking publications. Candidate will coordinate various onsite and offsite events, including invitations, RSVPs, catering, A/V, speaker materials, event promotion, and other event logistics; coordinate with attorneys to draft pitch letters, proposals, and RFPs responses, including compiling, editing, formatting, and proofreading; conduct research related to the firm’s business development strategy; and maintain the firm’s victory database. The Marketing Coordinator will work with other marketing team members to produce the firm’s quarterly internal newsletter, and handle other projects to support marketing and business development initiatives as needed. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime flexibility needed.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite functions. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Required skills include: strong organizational skills; attention to detail; excellent problem solving and analytical skills; strong communication skills, including listening, writing, proofreading, and editing; and the ability to follow instructions. The Marketing Coordinator is expected to efficiently manage tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must have the ability to both lead projects and work collaboratively as a member of a team; display a strong work ethic; and produce high-end work product under tight deadlines. Firm is looking for candidates with a professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external contacts.
