Job Description
Law firm seeks a Network Engineer with 5 years of experience to handle all network hardware and systems design and implementation. Engineer will manage staff of analysts and engineers handling hardware support and setup (unboxing, racking, and initial OS installation); oversee all configurations of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, WAN acceleration equipment, hardware portals, packet shaping devices, FatPipe WAN optimization hardware, and network KVM hardware; design and set up multi-server clusters and required disk arrays, and fibre channel switches and networks; oversee extensive design and configuration of remote technology, including portal management, Citrix, RSA tokens, remote print driver technology, advanced monitoring technology, desktop configuration and policy software, and software compatibility; handle Active Directory design and implementation across multiple sites; oversee a multi-server Exchange environment, including spam and anti-virus protection, management, and backup; manage administratively multiple SQL servers; implement and assess cloud services for security and service levels; continually monitor and mitigate cybersecurity issues or threats in network; manage remotely located DR site including cross WAN mirroring and real time replication for SQL, File Clusters, and Exchange; manage all network software, including iManage, anti-virus, desktop management software, server/application monitoring software, Skype/Microsoft Teams, Blackberry enterprise server, Exchange servers, fax software, Elite accounting software, litigation support software and other server based software packages; meet with attorneys, office managers and floor coordinators to go over technology plans; assist with designing the build out of a new computer server room from scratch including evaluating fire suppression systems, air systems, rack, and cable management systems; coordinate and manage staff and training recommendations; and participate in budget planning for future IT growth and planning.
The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexibility for on-call rotation duties.
