Job Description
Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Ontario, CA (Onsite)
Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 annually
Experience: 2+ years’ experience to support attorneys with research and administrative case management support.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Day Shift, 8:30am to 5:00pm (40-hour week)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Address all emails and follow up on pending settlement authority when adjusters are not responsive.
- Assist attorneys with liens (opening, calling the lien claimant to gain contact information for the representative attorney for negotiation purposes, reporting on opening lien value, and if a demand has been previously relayed for resolution, execute the agreement and submit to the appropriate parties).
- Compose correspondence and closing letters relating to orders, order granting/denying venue chance, and order on WCAB fees.
eFile response to Order Suspending and review settlement documents to be eFiled - Manage settlements in limbo/settlement negotiations and petitions to compel on all files.
- Oversee med-legal report to verify diagnostics requested and gain client prescription orders to be compliant with the WCAB OneCall communications platform 2025 rule changes.
- Oversee tasks pending in the adjuster “to do” que in order to move the assignment up for completion to avoid a second client follow-up.
- Coordinate issues with med-legal evaluations (location on panel no longer being accessible).
- Calendar conflicts to ensure resolution and manage events (depositions, med-legals) with associated letter to client.
- Handle monthly prebills.
