Position: Proposal Specialist
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid 2 days onsite)
Pay: $55,000 to $70,000 annually
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in proposal development, writing and management for a business audience in a professional services environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (Flexibility to work overtime)
Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client!
Job Description:
- Responsibilities include leading proposal process for multiple concurrent RFPs, RFIs and RFQs from kickoff through submission and interview materials.
- Will work closely with attorneys, advisors, business development staff, and administrative departments to gather content, feedback and sign-off on materials, and establish a work plan ensuring strict adherence to interim and final deadlines leading up to proposal submissions.
- Facilitate kickoff meetings to discuss proposal requirements, writing assignments, win themes and schedules.
- Customize existing proposal content to be responsive to specific RFP questions including effectively combining otherwise independent content and practice descriptions.
- Draft persuasive and reader-friendly copy based on information from research, meetings with internal clients.
- Oversee proposal production and delivery, ensuring quality and compliance with all RFP requirements and consistency with Firm guidelines, including layout and formatting.
- Proposal Specialist will track completed proposals to maintain firmwide statistics and support proposal initiatives, including creation of content repository.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with working in law firm or professional business environment.
- Specialist will be a dependable team player with superior written and oral communication skills and editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment.
- Must be poised and able to exhibit professional diplomacy amid high stress situations and have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
