Real Estate Paralegal

Law firm seeks a Real Estate Paralegal with 3 years of experience to work in the San Francisco branch office. Selected candidate will review title status; request and negotiate owner's and lender's title insurance policies, including specific endorsements; review and negotiate ALTA surveys, and zoning reports and liaise with consultants; prepare UCC-1 financing statements, amendments, assignments, terminations, and coordinate filings. The Real Estate Paralegal will prepare closing binders, instructions, and checklists; manage the closing process; and maintain closing files. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Salary range is $120,000 to $125,000
A college degree is preferred, and qualified candidates must have an ABA certified certificate or attorney attestation. This position requires substantial experience working in commercial real estate and/or commercial real estate lending; proficiency handling purchase and sale transactions, including drafting of basic conveyance and closing documents, and assisting with due diligence matters. Candidate must have experience handling mortgage loan transactions, including preparation of initial drafts of loan documents, obtaining, reviewing, and organizing borrower documentation; and ordering and reviewing judgment and lien searches. Experience preparing, organizing, filing, and registering entities in various states is also needed.
College degree is preferable; all candidates must satisfy at least one of the California statutory paralegal classification requirements.
