Position: Records & Information Governance Manager 

Location: Hybrid, 3 days onsite (must reside in CA, TX, WA, AZ, or DC)

Pay: $100,000 to $135,000 annually

Experience: 8+ years’ experience of records management; 5+ years working with electronic records in a legal or professional services firm 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Library Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required; Master’s degree is preferred 

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire  

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm 

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Records & Information Governance Manager to join our dynamic law firm client!    

Job Description:   
  • This role will play an integral role in the development, implementation, and improvement of firm processes that manage client records and information through the legal lifecycle.  
  • Position reports to the Risk Management & Compliance Director.  
  • Candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the Records department across multiple offices and overseeing all members of the Records department, including providing support/guidance and helping to foster professional development.  
  • Develop Records Information Management policies and procedures and implementing compliance monitoring systems.  
  • Candidate will manage the information governance program and be responsible for handling firm records (electronic and paper) from creation until disposal.   
  • Implement firm wide information governance policies and procedures, ensure compliance with legal standards.  
  • Formulate continuous improvement strategies.  
  • Conduct annual records inventory/audit in each office; and coordinate with other departments to develop efficient procedures.  
  • Manager will prepare and monitor the records department budget and control costs associated with records creation, storage, and retrieval. 

Position Requirements:     
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.  
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Records Analyst (CRA), or Records Information Management (RIM) Certification (preferred).
  • Must have strong leadership, problem solving skills, and strategic planning skills.  
  • Candidates must have a working knowledge of electronic file management and Windows file system.  
  • Experience with legal document management systems such as iManage Document Management, NetDocs, iManage Records, or FileTrail.
  • Experience with iManage administrator preferred.
  • Experience with Litera Prosperoware or PowerDesktop highly preferred.
