Job Description

Law firm seeks a Senior Manager of Associate Development and Recruiting with 5 years of experience to assist the Chief Talent Officer and Director of Attorney Development & Recruiting with lateral recruiting, integration, and associate workflow.  Responsibilities include managing the implementation of strategic initiatives and special projects relating to recruiting, attorney staffing, and professional development. Other duties include interviewing and working with the CTO to make hiring recommendations for lateral associate applicants; working with the Director of Attorney Development & Recruiting to monitor associate utilization and manage associate assigned work, staffing, and morale; participating as a member of the Recruiting Committee to assist in the development of the Summer Associate Program and entry-level hiring goals and decisions; serve on the Associate Development Committee to assisting in the tracking of associate performance, feedback, and evaluations; onboarding new hires and working with Practice Group Leaders and Director of Attorney Development & Recruiting to create personalized integration plans; implementing lateral attorney business plans; developing strategic initiatives and special projects to identify areas to improve associate diversity and inclusion efforts; and implementing internship program, including monitoring supervision and intern experience. 

Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with occasional travel flexibility needed

Position is remote with periodic requirements to be onsite for quarterly meetings and trainings.  May be based in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Diego, Sacramento, Walnut Creek, Bend OR, Washington D.C. or Houston TX.

Job Requirements

A Juris Doctorate degree (and some experience working as an attorney) are required.  The Senior Manager of Development and Recruiting must be reliable, adaptable, and reflect a high degree of professionalism with excellent interviewing, training, development and managerial skills.  Successful candidate will have robust interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to establish effective working relationships and appropriately interact with others; the aptitude to use good judgment to plan and accomplish goals and exercise appropriate judgment regarding sensitive confidential matters; be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to meet established deadlines.
