Law firm seeks a Senior Tax Analyst with 4 years of public accounting experience, preferably in a multi-office professional services organization. The Analyst will assist in maintaining firmwide tax compliance in the US and foreign jurisdictions at federal, state, and local levels. Candidate will analyze data provided by the Finance and Accounting group and prepare tax schedules for the U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns, business tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and international tax compliance requirements; prepare partnership and nonresident partner estimated tax calculations, and quarterly partner income tax projections; maintain partner composite tax elections and related records; prepare and review U.S. and international partner withholding tax calculations; develop applicable general ledger analysis and perform quality assurance procedures; monitor current and proposed changes in tax laws and regulations; perform research; maintain partner capital accounts and process distributions; and assist in development and implementation of tax accounting methodology and process.
Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Position is currently hybrid, 3 days onsite
A Bachelors Degree with an Emphasis in Accounting or related field is required. Relevant experience preparing U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns is desired. Must have ability to perform research on tax laws and regulations for various jurisdictions and different types of tax. Senior Tax Analyst will have exposure to international, VAT/GST, business, property, sales/use, and excise taxation in addition to income tax. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) with strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Preferred candidate will have a background from the Big 4 or a law firm with partnership tax experience.
