Position: Temporary Litigation Support Coordinator

Location: Remote (Pacific time) 

Pay: Depending on Experience

Experience: California State and Federal Court litigation skills to provide support to attorneys and paralegals with complex litigation, and trial preparation. 

Type: Full-time; Temporary 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Job Description:   
  • Serves as primary point of contact throughout the discovery lifecycle, applying in-depth knowledge and experience to provide expert consultation and advice on technology and best practices. 
  • Consults with case teams to effectively develop and apply technical strategies, requirements and goals in order to develop and implement project plans, including data collection, processing, document review, document production and trial. 
  • Acts as the primary point of contact and liaison for eDiscovery issues between the legal team and the client and other external parties to ensure proper communication between the parties. 
  • Advises legal team on technology options to respond to specific discovery needs (recommendations for products to perform early case assessment, document search, and document reviews in the most efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner). 
  • Ensures standard procedures for eDiscovery and litigation support projects are consistently applied across the life of the case. 
  • Develop cost estimates and advises on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions. Oversees the creation of statistical reports providing information on collection, filtering, processing, review and productions. 
  • Apply and delegate appropriate workflow tasks, including data management, constructing search queries, processing, production and quality control. 
  • Monitoring and managing the team's email inbox, ensuring that all incoming communications are reviewed promptly and providing timely and professional responses to internal and external stakeholder. 
  • Crafting clear, concise, and professional emails that effectively convey complex information, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment with project objective. 
  • Collaborating with the team to define project timelines and project milestones within the litigation lifecycle. 

Position Requirements:     
  • Proficiency with MS (Outlook, Word, Excel) and commonly used trial preparation software required (Ipro, Relativity, Disco, Everlaw, and others).  
  • Operational knowledge with eDiscovery (EDD) processing tools (eCapture, Nuix Workstation, Relativity Processing preferred).  
  • Knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, including relevant Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and local discovery rules; demonstrated experience managing all aspects of each step in the eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM).  
  • Must have strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational, reasoning and research skills and excellent communication abilities; flexibility, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and sensitivity to ethical and confidentiality requirements.
