Position: Trial Logistics Coordinator
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA preferred, but open to other offices (Hybrid, frequent travel required)
Pay: $145,000 to $165,000 annually
Experience: 3+ years of experience supporting law firm technology and trial site/war room logistics to have regular interaction with attorneys and staff.
Education: Bachelor's degree and international law firm experience preferred. Relevant technical certifications in project management, ITIL, or specific legal technology platforms is a plus.

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Trial Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic law firm client!  

Job Description: 
  • Oversee all technical aspects of a remote war room lifecycle from planning, design, installation, and support to closure.
  • Communicate with trial teams, trial logistics staff, IT staff, graphics specialists and in-court presentation vendors to evaluate equipment and services needed at remote trial locations and firm offices.
  • Communicate with hotel management and office space property managers to assess the suitability of temporary office space, by determining space and power requirements, and verifying the availability of dedicated internet and voice services.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to acquire equipment and services to properly support trial teams, (review of vendor agreements and itemized equipment lists, delivery, and support schedules).
  • Prepare and deliver a trial budget report to Billing Attorneys, which outlines the projected expenses, terms of cancellation, and payment conditions.
  • Manage the allocation of technical staffing resources to provide support to trial teams.
  • Provide onsite technical support for remote trial teams.
  • Participate in regular IT staff meetings, including occasional travel to trial locations.
  • Complete regular training to remain current with technologies.
  • Research legal vertical and general technology market for software that addresses pain points and improves attorney workflows.
  • Research potential solutions and conduct evaluations to establish suitability.

Position Requirements:    
  • Must have proficiency in supporting MS Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 10, 11, MAC OS, iOS, and Android clients.
  • Proficiency in File and Print servers, IP Printing, network scanning technologies, and WAN/LAN technologies in support of remote trial sites and supporting users with commonly used legal applications (document management systems, trial transcript management software, eDiscovery processing, and review applications).
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and legal-specific platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the legal and IT fields.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to train and mentor junior staff is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
